Literary Critique
Generally, this service is provided as a supplement
to writers or authors whose manuscript or book has been edited and
proofread by me. Please review the
book editing &
proofreading information.
However, I will provide a limited literary critique
on manuscripts that I have not been employed to proofread and edit.
In these cases, I will read the first and last chapters (or
approximately 25 to 30 pages) and scan several other sections in the
book as needed to provide an adequate critique.
-
Literary Critique Definition
A literary critique of your book or manuscript is meant to provide
the writer with an assessment of the literary value of the work and
the marketing focus.
-
Submission Requirements
Please include a synopsis, your target audience, a description of
the main character and a brief paragraph about you, the author, along
with your manuscript when you submit it for a literary critique.
Contact me with any questions about these requirements.
-
Fee
The fee for the complete literary critique is between $100 and
$125. This fee is extremely economical because I will have completed
the full proofreading and editing prior to the preparation of the
literary critique. I will have read and reviewed the entire book
or manuscript and will be equipped to prepare an in-depth beneficial
literary critique.
The fee for the literary critique when I have not performed the
proofreading and editing is between $175 and $200.
